01Reasons We May Act

  • Suspected or confirmed fraud, unauthorised access or identity misuse.
  • Breach of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Failure to complete KYC or to answer reasonable compliance questions.
  • Suspicion of money laundering, terrorist financing or sanctions exposure.
  • Abuse of promotions, multiple accounts or chargeback abuse.
  • A legal request, court order or regulator or partner instruction.
  • Security risk, such as a compromised account or suspicious login activity.
  • Extended inactivity, after notice.

02Types of Action

ActionWhat it means
WarningNotice that behaviour breaches our policies, with a chance to correct it
Feature restrictionSpecific services or limits are paused, for example card use or withdrawals
Temporary suspensionAccount is locked while we investigate or until you complete required steps
Permanent closureAccount is closed for serious or repeated breaches

03Immediate Action

We may act without prior notice where it is needed to prevent harm, protect funds, comply with law or stop abuse. Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will tell you the reason and what you can do next.

04What Happens to Your Funds

  • Funds may be held during an investigation or while a legal obligation applies.
  • If the review ends in your favour, the account is restored and funds released.
  • On closure without wrongdoing, we return the remaining balance to a bank account in your verified name, after deducting amounts you owe.
  • Funds linked to fraud or crime may be withheld, reversed or handed to the authorities as the law requires, and are not returned.

05Open Orders and Services

Orders in progress may be completed, cancelled or refunded depending on the reason for the action. Services such as virtual numbers, card balances and subscriptions may stop working on suspension.

06Appeals

  1. Email support@usejeta.com.ng from the address on your account within 30 days of the decision, with the subject line Account Review.
  2. Explain why you believe the decision was wrong and attach any supporting information.
  3. A member of our team who was not involved in the original decision reviews your appeal.
  4. We reply with our decision, normally within 7 business days. Complex cases can take longer.
In some cases, for example where we are legally restricted from sharing information, we may not be able to give full details of the reasons.

07Closing Your Own Account

You may ask to close your account at any time by contacting support. Please withdraw any balance first. We may keep certain records for the periods required by law, as set out in our Data Protection Policy.

08Reinstatement

We may reinstate an account where the issue has been resolved, for example verification completed or security restored. Accounts closed for serious breaches are not normally reinstated, and the person may not open a new account.
